Entity Attributes

szempruw
I am just learning, but used Autosketch many years ago.

When I click on an entity, for example a line and then go to attributes, I get the pop-up screen default with blank fields.

Sure, I can change line type or color. But why can't the EXISTING attributes for the line selected be automatically viewed? This way I know what I'm changing from and then enter new value, i.e. color.

Is this possible? I seem to recall being able to do that with other CAD programs.

Just a suggestion and let me know if this is the correct place to input kind suggestions from a new user.

With "Attributes" you can change the characteristics of several entities, which might have different characteristics, in one process. So there is not the one original value to be shown.
With "Properties", a command for only one entity,  you get the existing values and, depending on the nature of the entity, also some geometrical information.
