Fix for entering feet and inches as an input??

aaron.soles
Hi all, I'm new to LibreCad, I have lots of experience with AutoCad(R-14) and i am having a hard time entering commands to draw lines in LibreCad. For instance i want to draw a line 58'-0". So i set my drawing preferences to inch, engineering. When i  input (58'-0", 0"), i get a syntax error. I understand i could multiply 58 x 12 and get an absolute value and enter it that way but man that would nearly be impossible to complete my entire drawing in this fashion. I really don't know anything about programing so editing the source code is not gonna be an option for me. I know that others have had this very issue back in 2013 there was a thread. I am wondering if anyone has a fix for this that i could use.
