Hello from Chicago

Hello all.

I have used the LibreOffice product for some time, but am new to the LibreCad program.
Currently, I am looking for a solution to draw up my house measurements including floor space, windows, doors, etc. with the goal of refurbishing the old house.
I have also been suggested to use the Sketchup program. with no experience in either,  any advice would be of help.
