Hi from BigAl

BigAl
Hi,

One very new user here; not only to LibreCAD but also to the whole world of design, and computer aided design generally A new world and a new language.

Just so everyone knows, I am writing this on a Win XP Pro machine but hope, once I have built it out of all the bits I have laying around, to move to Linux. Specifically Centos 6.

I note that in another post (http://forum.librecad.org/nice-program-td5706839.html) the question is asked as to the whereabouts of the docs. As this appears to be a relatively new program I am assuming that it is taking the developers all the time they have getting it up and running. It must be up to us, the users, to put our little bit in. For myself I would like to write  a paragraph or two on the usage of the various tools that are available. It would help me no end and I feel that, by inference, it might help others. I will try, once I have learned just what each one actually does and how to use them.

By the way, while talking about tools I would like to add my vote for the suggestions made by to-b here, (http://forum.librecad.org/Icon-theme-td5706838.html). His ideas seem very good to me.

Cheers for now

Alan

All user input is welcome, I suggest when you are familiar and ready to write/describe a certain tool that you use the 'Wiki' - http://wiki.librecad.org/index.php/Main_Page as a platform for this!
