LibreCAD on Linux

Philip
I need some help please.  I have installed Linux Mint Cinnamon on a spare laptop and I want to install LibreCAD on it.  I installed LibreCAD using the following commands

sudo add-apt-repository ppa:librecad-dev/librecad-stable
sudo apt-get update
sudo apt-get install librecad

This works but the LibreCAD version that is installed is an older one.

How do I install a newer version?  I am new to Linux and don't know much about it.

Thanks.

I found a way to do it.  I have now installed version 2.2.0 Alpha.

OK, version 2.2.0 Alpha acts different.  How can I install 2.1.3?
