Measurements

Hi guys,

I just installed Librecad today and so far it has been really nice and intuitive ... I just have one problem which I could not find a solution for via Google nor via Help;

Lets say I simply have drawn one line - how do i make the program show its length? I dont want to measure the length for myself but have it displayed, like in a technical drawing!

Sorry if this was kinda hard to understand ... my native language is not English!

Thanks,

Leif

Re: Measurements

In "CAD terminology" you can ask the length of a line of more than one way.

Menu "Info->distance point to point" (activate snap endpoints)
Menu "Info->Total length of selected entities" (selecting only the line)

or you can draw a "dimension"
Menu "Dimension->linear" for x/y dimension or ortogonal lines
Menu "Dimension->aligned" for oblique lines.

For deleting entities use
Menu "Modify->delete" then select entities to delete or
select entities, then press "scape" key

In the 2.0 series, Total entity length is shown for selected together with number of selected entities.
