   LibreCAD 2.1.3 v. Mac 10.11.6

Version: 2.1.3
Compiler: Clang 8.0.0
Compiled on: Sep 22 2016
Qt Version: 5.6.1
Boost Version: 1.60.0
System: OS X El Capitan (10.11)

I have been able to do some things, but ...

   1. The current installation procedure seems not to resemble the
documentation at: http://librecad.org/cms/home/installation/osx.html
Faced with a disk image containing what looked like the app, I copied
the app to my Applications directory, which seems to have been
reasonable.  Programs like Firefox use a similar scheme, but offer a
link to Applications next to the app itself (and an arrow suggesting to
a trained victim that dragging the app onto the link might do the
desired job).

   2. Many other things in that "LibreCAD users Manual" seem to disagree
with (modern) reality.  (Where's that "Modify" button with the finger?)

   3. After adjusting the Mac Finder to associate LibreCAD with ".dxf",
double-clicking on an existing ".dxf" opens LibreCAD, but with a fresh
"unnamed document 1" title, instead of the desired file.  Presently, a
pop-up box appears:

      Cannot auto-save the file
      Unnamed
      Please check the permissions.
      Auto-save disabled.
      [OK]

Perhaps related, drag-and-drop of a file onto the app (icon) does
nothing.  File > Open... works, of course.

   4. In the File > Open... dialog, "Cancel" is logged (in the "Command
line" window) as:
File '' does not exist. Opening aborted
which seems misleading, at best.

   3. My CAD experience consists almost entirely of watching a friend
use AutoCAD, so I know nothing, but it seems to me that there should be
a mouse-only way to extend a line.  Modify > Lengthen seems to want a
command-line numeric value (or too many button clicks).  I'd like to
drag an end-point which is constrained to lie along an (extended)
existing line.

   4. I don't know how to reproduce it, but I've seen entities (circles)
disappear during pan/zoom operations when they were nowhere near the
display border.  Similarly, all or parts of a text block may also vanish
with no good excuse.
