Print selected?

eslavko
Hello...

I try to print just selection of drawing.
-I select the items I want to print
-I do print preview
-I move paper and select right scale
-I do print...

And surprising got print with no selected items, but I do get printed other items still in paper.
So I do try "stupid" aproach to solve problem.

-I select all
-Then unselected items to be printed
-Do print preview
-Do move paper in correct size and scale
-Print

and got what I want.

Is that normal? I expect just selected items to be printed and not opposite.

Slavko.

That's funny. LC doesn't really have a feature to print selected items only. Now you have found a workaround to do that. You could also select first and then do revert selection.

You can right-click on the layer and "Toggle layer printing"
or use the little printer icon next to the layer's name.
Actually I've never printed anything with LC,
so I'm assuming this can exclude objects from printing...
It might be useful if you happen to have the things you want hidden grouped in layers.

Re: Print selected?

I know that I can print layer content. But sometime I want to print only one detail from drawing and like to avoid other items to be printed. Of course there are usaly more items in same drawing. And the item itself is in more layers. at least two layers as I do put measurement on its own layer.

Select and invert selection is even easyer than select all and deselect..
Hope that this "bug" will remain long time as feature
