Quick Question about blocks

smknipe
Hello again everyone!

I have a block I created in one drawing (i.e. "Title Block") and also saved as its own drawing. Is it possible to insert this block (or drawing file) into a new drawing, or as a layer into the new drawing? I've tried a few things that I can think of but still no go. Thanks for any and all guidance!

Go to menu: View -> Toolbars

Enable Library Browser

The library folder is default to: /usr/share/librecad/library/ in Linux, and can be set at Menu -> Application options -> Path

copy/move the saved dxf for the block to the library folder, and library browser will show the block available for insertion.

Awesome, thanks dxli.

Dxli's info works in linux (tested on my personal computer), for those out there on Windows the Library folder is at

C:\Program Files\LibreCAD\resources\library

and I had to put the drawing into a folder to be seen, but it worked great! Also of note was that changing the Path under Application Preferences didn't seem to do anything- I had to put the drawing in the default location for it to work.

Thanks again dxli!

This seems to be a bug.

I added a quick fix in master branch, commit: fe0813ded

If you are running the development version, please help testing

I am not, but if I get some time this afternoon or tomorrow I'll try it.

Thanks again dxli!
