Ubuntu PPA updated?

Scott,

the Ubuntu PPA still points to Beta5. Will this be automagically updated or is this a manual job?
One user would like to update to rc1, but he still got beta5.

It will be automatic, but it takes some time for it to trickle through
the servers. It will probably be at least a couple more hours if not a
day (see lisandro's email.)

One thing: would you like the PPA to give the stable package (i.e.
RC1) or the daily build from github? I was thinking that the PPA would
build whatever is in github (automatically) every night to promote
testing, and users can download the stable packages from
http://packages.ubuntu.com. I can set up an additional PPA so we can
have one that backports stable packages and another that builds the
current github master branch every night.

Let me know what you prefer

I just saw that the PPA is being updated overnight tonight. One thing
should be fixed: it still uses the old icon for the program, if
Lisandro is on this list could you look into installing the svg into
the scalable hicolor folder and removing the .xpm from debian/? If not
I should have enough time to do it some time this week.

Scott,

PPA can build whatever is in github.
Stable package can then come from http://packages.ubuntu.com.

If other packages do the same as above, we should also. ( I don't jump from a bridge if somebody else does though... ;)
