Units in measurement: choose unit?

I searched a way for inserting units in measurements and found this thread:

Didn't work as expected for me, as with "engineering" or "architectural" the only unit shown is "inches".
I, instead, would like to see MY unit, as chosen in the same tab of the "current drawing option" dialog.
Possible?

Not sure if this answers your question, but Engineering and Architectural are Imperial, Angle-Saxon dimensioning standards, which use feet and inches, nowadays only still used in the US and maybe Canada. If you are metric, use Decimal instead.
