Update entity layer by changing active layer

dxli
As a new feature, you can quickly change layer for selected layers.

how to use this feature:

0, edit LibreCAD configuration file (in *nix, it's likely the file ~/.config/LibreCAD/LibreCAD.conf ) to have a line  under section [Modify]:

    [Modify]
    ModifyEntitiesToActiveLayer=1

1, restart LibreCAD;

To change layer for entities:

1, select some entities;
2, activate some layer in the layerwidget;

Result:

The entities selected in step 1 are of the new activated layer now.

By default, ModifyEntitiesToActiveLayer is set to 0, and this feature is disabled.

Thank you Dxli,

I was wondering if there was a way to change entities to a different layer for those times when you forget to select the correct layer for what you are drawing instead of deleting it and redrawing using the correct layer. I will investigate where to change this setting under MacOS and post here for those using Mac.

Again thank you.
