example draw

Hi, I've done this little project to add in the next release of LC, just like sample, you knowm many programs add example files, so I thought "why not LC?".
If you think it takes too man Mb in the compiled file, no problem, then we could create a section here in the forum called "examples" or "samples" (maybe you have alredy created it and I did not find it!!!)

Anyway... here

(I REMOVED IT, PLEASE LOOK DOWN)

and obviousely a pdf version too

(I REMOVED IT, PLEASE LOOK DOWN)

Obviousely is not an awesome project, but the aim is showing the possibilities of LC, I hope this will help...
Bye friends!

Excellent!!!

I tried to study pdf carefully. Noticed that in "Map" top window has been "Dimensioned"; to be read from left. As per my understanding drawing is to read from bottom or from right. If you agree, correct it.

On opening it in LibreCAD 1.0.2, I noticed these dimensions almost horizontal. On checking, I found  angle is 15469.9; which is strange. See attached screenshot.

However, LC 2.0 Beta, show it 270. IMO opinion it should be 90; and also give some good name to it ;-)

Wrong Dimension Angle

To me, it is awesome.

If you make its tutorial, "How to make a House" will be wonderful.

Bye

Hi My friend...

1) That is strange... I use LC 2.0 beta1 and dimensions are horiziontal and vertical with this version; and the angle dimension is 30° (I had to explode the angle dimension, so it is a text). I cannot imagine what is wrong with the other dimensions. Anyway I attach a picture...

2)Here in Italy we use this kind of dimensioning! So this is correct here, well, I obviousely can modify...

3) To be honest, this was born as a tutorial, but  the video was 1.4 Gb just for drawing the map!!! So I could never upload this   obviousely if you can suggest something I'll be happy to do the tutorial (even if I am not a good teacher  )  see ya my friend!

Personally I dislike video tutorials for many reasons.

a) Size
b) Language (assent) issue. People from A country find it difficult to understand English spoken by people from country B.

I like text tutorial along with illustrations (images).

See, if you can do that.

Dude, this is nice.
I think LC definitively does need a library such QCad did (does).
Maybe someone can rename "Useful library symbols and blocks" to "Useful library symbols and blocks and examples".
http://forum.librecad.org/Useful-library-symbols-and-blocks-f5707181.html

Or it would be even better to also rename "LibreCAD user - Tips and Tricks/Library blocks" to "LibreCAD user - Tips and Tricks/Library blocks/Examples"

Ok,
@hsrai: dear hsrai, I will see what I can do, and I understood what you meant before with the dimensions' orientation... so I re-uploaded the corrected files, here:

PDF
Example.pdf

and DXF
Example.dxf

@onone: well my friend... I think we should cooperate as much as we can; I am not a mechanical designer, nor a programmer, moreover I saw that the manual has been handled by another good friend, so even if I (should) work in building sector, I am trying to give my little contribution as I am able to do... As you can see I did not draw a beautiful house intentionally because design is my proper work, but the LC features are -in my opinion- shown, so that if someone is trying to find excuses or justifications to say that closed sources programs are the only ones to use, he/she must change his/her mind...

See ya!
(and pray for my country... damned politicians   )

@ hsrai:

You persuaded me and I am working on the tutorial  I am not a good teacher but I am doing the best I can. I prepared 5 pages so far... I hope soon I'll finish the rest of the tutorial (that will be posted in .pdf and .odt formats)!
Here I give you the stuff I prepared so far, give me some advice if you have any (example: if I am not explaining well something)
(I REMOVED IT, PLEASE LOOK DOWN, GET THE ENTIRE TUTORIAL!)
Have a nice sunday!

Great!!!

Please never say that. Rather say: "I am the best teacher".

Whatever you say, you become that ;-)

Nice.

Sad to know that you need to redo it :-(

What happened to LibreOffice?

You may give Google Doc / Drive a try. We can comment there and if you allow we can edit also. Complete revision system is there in place. If you don't like others' edit, you may roll back.

Hey man, you are doing a good job, keep it up; we are going to have a good tutorial.

We need to have a 'central' place to keep user created tutorials like this and so I have changed the details of the 'LibreCAD  Manual/Wiki topics' to reflect this!
It now is called - LibreCAD Tutorials and Manual/Wiki topics.
Possibly we could also add these tutorials to the wiki.

@claus, great job with your tutorial, it would be good to post it into the above forum.
