Incremental distance

maurov
Hello,
is here any command to specify, for example, an incremental distance to strech a line?
Specify point +3,+10

I am not sure about what you are asking.

If you have a line, you want to make it 3 longer in length.

You can use Modify->Lengthen . Supply the incremental size in its option input area.

You can specify relative distances by using the command line.
When you are asked for the next point e.g. for a line, enter @3,10 at the command line (Ctrl-M or BLANK to activate).
This will draw the line from the last point e.g. 100,100 to 103,110.
The reference for the @ coordinates is the relative zero, which normally is the point of your last drawing action (little red crossed circle).
The relative zero could be set manually in the Snap menu. It can also be locked, if it is undesired to follow the drawing actions.

That is it.
I was trying + instead of @.
Thank you

Another question:
Can I extend a line to a point or element, or have to fix the distance to be extended?

Please try it. The line is not only cut if too long but elongated if too short.

Ferdi, you're right.
The Trim operation works for extending a line. Great.
