Latvian translation

Tranzistors
Hi all,

I added registered on on the pootle translation server(username
Tranzistors) and selected Latvian as my language, but I can't begin
translating. Can someone add Latvian language for LibreCAD and add me as
the translator?

However, I can't see Latvian in the language list on http://translate.librecad.org/. Am I missing something?

Thanks!

I will release 2.0.0_rc3 in coming days, and final 2.0.0 before holiday season.

Hi Tranzistors,

there was an issue with your translation files, LibreCAD ts files are version 2.0, this information was deleted on the Latvian translation files and the indent of the unchanged source lines was modified, I corrected this manually before updating the github repo.

How did you work on the translation files? Which editor did you use?

The latest commit now includes your translation, so you can pull and test it.

I used translate-toolkit script ts2po and then used lokalize application. For some reason lokalize doesn't support KDE format. I will try to fix these issues in future myself.

Will test the new translation as soon as possible.

Re: Latvian translation

I got the git version, compiled it and the Latvian option wasn't there. Then I did some modifications to the code [0] (the link contains git patch with changes) and after recompile UI is available in Latvian.

Even after this some buttons, like Cancel and OK in Attributes and Properties dialogues stayed untranslated. I guess these are taken from other KDE libraries, which have to be translated separately, but I don't know which they are. Pointers anyone?

Hi Rūdolfs,

I merged your patch to github master branch, many thanks for that.

The missing translations are part of the Qt components library. On my Qt4/5 installations I haven't found a Latvian file. LibreCAD uses the compiled versions which comes with the Qt installation packages. The Latvian file should be qt_lv.qm.
The Qt translations on my Linux system are in /usr/share/qt4/translations and on Windows/MinGW in C:\Qt5.1.1\5.1.1\mingw48_32\translations.

If you can't find a qt_lv.qm, you have to search for a qs_*.ts file and translate it.
The qt_*.qm files are not part of the LibreCAD project. On Windows they are added to the installer if present, about the packages for Linux an OSX I don't know what the state is.
