New to LibreCAD

brendonwp
Hi All

I use FOSS GIS (Geographic Information Systems) professionally, but I've never used CAD before.  Now I need to draw up simple plans for renovations in my house, and I thought LibreCAD looked like a good way to go.

I'll be scouting around for any premade symbols for windows and doors so that I don't repeat work from scratch.

Nice to be here!

See, if following library contain, what you are looking for:

http://slackbuilds.org/slackbuilds/13.37/graphics/qcad-partlibrary.tar.gz

or

ftp://ribbonsoft.com/archives/partlibrary/partlibrary-2.1.2.8-1.tar.gz

Thanks, HSRai.  The slackbuilds http file is only 1.4kB in size, and the README says that it is a collection of about 4500 symbols.  Something is wrong here, as all the data seems to be missing.

The ftp ribbonsoft file is downloading now, about 11MB.  I'll have a look and give feedback.

The last site needs registration for a free three-day trial, so I'll only look there if I don't come right with the others.
