Text disappears when zooming in...

pwp
I'm using Ubuntu 18.04. When I zoom in, at a certain zoom level text disappears...
Zooming out it reappears.

Thanks for reporting.

This is a known issue but I can't find it on Github so I cannot tell if it is taken care of...

One work-around is to toggle the visibility of one layer : on -> off -> on instead of zooming out. It will refresh the screen.

Now I noticed that the problem is especially with copied text. The copied text disappears when the original disappears from the screen as the result of zooming in.

In the same way the problem exists when panning: when the original is panned off the screen, the copy isn't shown any more on the screen...

That does happen to me also. I usually have to save the file, close it, then reopen it.

The layer on and off doesn't work.  But maybe this can help:

When I click on the "zoom panning" icon, and then click with a left mouse to start panning, that's the instance when the text diesappears.

However, there is also a way of panning by pressing and holding control key on the keyboard and using your left mouse batton.  This does not create the same problem.  Text stays as is.

Cordially,
