Are you following the user manual by Bob Woltz: http://wiki.librecad.org/index.php/LibreCAD_version_2,_users_Manual/Guide_-_by_Bob_Woltz#Moving_a_line

Please describe in details how it fails for you.

If it works, please register an account at wiki.librecad.org, and help improve our wiki.

I am reading the very good manual for LibreCad by Bob Woltz. So far, I'm going well except for one problem
The manual describes "Moving a line" and I've read it and tried it many time without getting it to work. The program seems to be different to the above manual.
Is there something that I'm missing? Can someone suggest what may be happening here please?

I posted this before, but it seems the post got lost or I did it wrong. Apologies in advance if this is double posted. I'm a new recruit to this forum.

Yes I am.
Besides, I now have it working!  I do no know why it didn't work before.
Sorry for unnecessary question.
Do I mark this thread as solved somewhere now?

Thanks.

You can also use Modify->Copy/Move to move entities.

The program I am using appears to be different from the above User Manual.
It also appears to be different to that portrayed in one of the video tutorials.
How do I identify the version of software that I have installed?

Hi Jim

If you go to the main menu and click on Help then select about, this will tell you what version you are using.

Update to the latest if you can...good luck.

Re: User Manual for LibreCad 2.0 problem.

The version of LibreCad that I have is 2.0 Orc2.

Yet the icon strip at the left appears to be different that in the manual and definitely different to the video.

What's going on? Is there some simple thing I'm not doing or is it actually different?
My attempts at screen shots failed. I'll try again in the morning when the internet connection will be better.

The way LibreCAD looks on screen will differ depending upon what operating system you are using -Windows, Mac or Linux based systems!

Maybe this is what you are experiencing here ?

Please update to 2.0.2.

Difference between OSs is small to me, but it's nice to have one screenshot to show the difference at your side.
