background color of a rectangle

Jean in France
Hi,

due to librecad ease of use and your help, in two days I could build a complex drawing. It is mainly a lot of rectangles. To visually separate one another, I use hatches. But is it possible to 'color' the inside of a rectangle instead of using hatch ?

I set a chechbox in the hatch window but the color is only white ... and I would like 'light grey' !

TIA
Jean

Thanks,
I'll try that this week-end ...

BYTW what explained 'Aussie' is what I am thinking and doing : LibreCAD is wonderful and I use it for my hobby : 'model railroad' (in fact the table where I'll will build it).

HI,

Mad-hatter, I couldn't find the 'create hatch' tool !!

Grherr, it worked for me too. Thanks.

I have a 'wish' : being able to 'color' with a RGB value (ie 128,10,96) !!!

Best Regards
Jean

In the attributes checkbox choose "Custom" for the colour, an other checkbox will come up where you can set RGB values.
