Hi All,
Everything looks good in the drawing and in the print preview. However when printed the dimensions text is very faint. Right size but very faint. I can adjust the text size, but it still prints very faint.
Draft is off. Text is printed, but very faint.
When trying to print into PDF - no text at all.
Thanks
Thanks.
It was the problem. The confusing thing was that the lines were fine. Only the text was faint
As text size comes out right and the other dimension elements appear not too faint I suspect it has to do with line width. It is typical for line width 0 to disappear completely in a pdf, also depending on the pdf-viewer. Check the overall line width of the dimension and change to maybe 0.25 mm if it is 0.
Hello!
Your question is a FAQ https://dokuwiki.librecad.org/doku.php/usage:faq#why_do_i_not_
...This is because the line width of dimension extension lines, dimension lines and arrows or ticks can be set in Options - Current Drawing Preferences - Dimensions in a different value than the general line property of the whole dimension, which is handled as a block.
So the general line width......
It might be the line width of the faint lines is not determined as "By Layer", but individually. Check this with Tools - Modify - Properties.
And if I print PDF to paper there is nothing but some faint dots scatter over the page. I have changed attributes of all entities in the drawing to Color - Black/White, Line weight 0.35 and it change nothing.
Kind of a continuation of the previous problem - now I understand how to get Print Preview to give me what I want but when I export to PDF some lines on my drawing are very faint or do not appear at all. I've checked that the correct paper size is set in Current Drawing Preferences and made sure...
Maybe you have accidentally saved to a wrong folder or something like that. Perhaps Flywire's advice helps https://forum.librecad.org/Lost-drawings-tp5718198.html
Check your procedure, Save or Save as....
I faintly remember there have been saving problems with some 2.2.0 development releases. You might try a different version.
I faintly remember there already a similar issue with angle dimensions has been mentioned here. So I searched for it, and it has been you! https://forum.librecad.org/Can-no-longer-select-most-objects-with-mouse-pointer-tp5717668p5717672.html
So still the same problem! Sorry, I don't know a solution.
PDF - viewers differ in how they handle line width 0.00mm. Some show it as fine hairline, some very faint, and some not at all. At some viewers you can make a setting how to show a hair line.
In LibreCAD 0.00mm is the setting for line width out of the box. Anything larger than that should show...
My printer will print out LibreCad drawings, but the lines are very faint and barely readable.
Where do I find the settings to adjust the line thickness or density for printing?
I do not know the version of my LibreCad. Where do I find these details?
