Newby--Basic Line Drawing

ThomSails
I really only want to make some basic line drawings to scale.  Seems I "ought" to be able to use this program, but I gotta say, it's easier with a ruler and a piece of paper than figuring out how to even draw a simple line with this program.  It would be "nice" to have a manual--actually, the program seems pretty useless to me without one.

Can anyone point to a simple primer on how to get started using this thing?

Here is a very quick screencast for simple line drawing. http://screencast.com/t/tmxhcthB

For the manual, you can use the original QCad manual for the 1.0.x versions of LibreCAD. With LibreCAD 2.0.x we have changed some items and the manual
doesn't follow really exact anymore, but would be still good enough..
