Area Of The Closed shape

hello Every One ,
Is there Any other way to calculate the area of a shape except drawing it by polygonal area tool every time ?
some thing like polygon or shape properties or informations ?!

When you hatch a properly closed contour (shape), the hatched area is indicated at the command line.
But beware, there has recently been a bug report that with arcs the result can be wrong!
