Blocks only partially appear

I've been working on a drawing of my house and today when I opened the file noticed several of the block that had been inserted only showed up partially.  ly appear but mostly don't and in the living room the couch and the chair are missing elements.  If I open the dxf file for the block itself, it shows up normally as it should.

Any idea what's going on?

Found the missing elements you have marked on the layer "contour", which was switched invisible.

Awesome--not sure how they got mixed on different layers.  There was a weird combination where both layers had to be visible for the ones on the contour layer to show up. Thanks!
