Blocks within blocks

tmpterry
Hi I've been having some problems using the community edition of QCAD so thought I'd give LibreCAD a go. But I don't seem to be able to place a block within a block like I can with QCAD, though I can form a new block from two or more existing blocks. When I go to edit a block in a new window then the block list completely empties. Is this a limitation of LibreCAD?

Using Arch Linux, librecad-git package from the AUR.

Re: Blocks within blocks

hi,

lots of issues with blocks, we have to clean up this feature in LibreCAD-2.1

I tested blocks containing blocks:

1, I can create a new block from two blocks;
2, I can save this new block as a dxf file using "Save block";
3, I can insert this combined blocks into new drawings. when inserted, the blocks of the new block and its sub-blocks are all listed in block widget;
4, I can edit sub-blocks, but when I edit the parent block, block widget shows nothing, while sub-blocks should be shown. A bug.

I will see whether we can fix this in 2.0 or we should do new implementation of blocks in 2.1
