Blue squre handle is too small

When I select an object (in this case, a spline), the points used to adjust it—the selection markers or blue square handles—are displayed too small, making them a bit difficult to find and select. Is there a way to set the point size larger?

There is a setting that controls handles size - yet this is version under active development.
