Command file

Hello everyone,

I am trying to figure out how to ask LibreCAD (politely, of course) to draw things from a text file.

Ultimately, I want to make excel produce a text file of commands which I can call from within LibreCAD to produce various graphs and other elements which relate to my work.

I've looked at this:

and it seems that it may be possible.

However, I was hoping there may be some resource (or keenly intellectual individual) who can confirm if I can change line attributes from within the file (colour, style etc).  

I could create a template file with set layers - can I set the layer of a line from a file?
