Converting to Libre CAd from Turbocad

Hi As a totally new user to this program, I thought to give it a try.
Whilst initial impressions are good, I find some immediate needs are not present:
First is to constrain a line to an angle:any of: horizontal, vertical or a multiple of x degrees - eg 15 deg, 45 deg.
This makes drawing horizontal and vertical lines a lot easier, and generally keeps drawings neater.
Second: CONSTRUCTION LINES: This class of line seems to be completely missing. These can be really useful. Construction lines need to be either vertical, horizontal or at a given angle through a point. Intersections of construction lines should generate a point that the cursor can snap to.
I'll have more of a play with this later, but it seems that links to traditional drafting skills are missing - I learnt to draw with pencil, paper, T square and other associated items... (back in the mid 70's).....

LibreCAD is not TurboCAD. TurboCAD has some nice features that you are unlikely to see in LibreCAD.

The quickest way to become proficient is to use the Manual, wiki, and web searches.

Restrict Vertical/Horizontal: This option can be found in the snap toolbar. If you start a line or other entity with this restriction off, you can then activate it to constrain the end of the entity to a vertical or horizontal alignment relative to the starting point.

Shift Key: When drawing a line with the generic "Line" tool, holding down the Shift key after starting the line will constrain the line to 15° angle intervals, including perfectly horizontal and vertical lines.
