Simply set up an empty drawing with size, scale , border etc to your liking and save it let's say as 'template.dxf' at any place. When you want to start a new drawing with the same settings then open 'template.dxf', save it again as (Save as...) maybe 'drawing1', and make your drawing on it, and save it again in the end. You could also do the 'save as ... drawing1' after finishing drawing on the template, but there is a risk of accidentally losing it.
