Hello,
I am new in using Librecad. I have installed version 2.1.3 in German and cannot find a possibility to edit/modify an existing text. I have found an older info, to use modify/preferences, but I do not have "Modify" as a point in the main line. What shall I do?

Tools - modify - properties.
Werkzeuge - Ändern - Eigenschaften.

i was having this same problem and it didnt work for me, so after persisting, i found that i have to do the following:
1. select the text to modify/edit
2. select Tools menu
3. select the Modify option
4. select the Properties option in the Modify menu
5. nothing happens, including no message in the Command window
6. again click on the text to modify/edit
7. MText dialogue will now appear
MText Dialogue Box (edit text)

8. edit text
9. click ok to close dialogue

changes to text now appear in your drawing!

i just found another post on this subject, and i should have

added the following to step 5:
5. although no message appears in the Command window, the mouse pointer changes from an arrow to a cross.

changed item 6 as follows:

You don't need to select the text in advance,  so just omit step 1.
