File format to save preferences?

JimS
New user here.  Was pretty easy to get started as I have a bit of experience with similar software.  Kudos to those that have contributed!

Wondering what format to use to save the preferences like units, grid, etc. I used DXF and when I reopened I had to reset those.  But I don't see a native format.  Do any of the formats save the preferences?

I am doing floor plans and construction drawings right now but that's just the current project.  Will use it for a variety of personal projects.

Hello JimS, welcome to the forum!

You are speaking of a template, which really speeds up creating new sketches.

Quick search, this might get you  to start, or google yourself

And dxf  (2007) is the native format for LibreCad.
