Help Required Please (Working to scale)

Hi all,

I'm new to Libre Cad, I was just after some help please.

What I'm wanting to do is measure the area inside a polygon taken from a google earth image. The imported image will have a scale included in the picture so what I need to do is work so that my dimensions match that scale. Is there a way of setting the working scale by drawing a line across the scale on the image?

after being imported, LC keeps the image size by its pixel dimension.

if you know the actually scale from pixel to real size, you can scale the image in LC accordingly.
