How to increase the resolution of drawing for printing to scale?

broccolee
Hi,

I created a part with small dimensions, plotted them using plot plugin equations. The curve does not look smooth unless zoomed in in the drawing. When exported to a pdf to 1:1 scale, the curve is again not smooth.

Does anybody have any idea how to preserve the resolution when zooming out and when exporting to a pdf?

This is what the part looks like when zoomed in:

This is what it looks like to scale:

Thanks.

The jaggedness looks like just resulting from screen resolution / pixels. When exporting to pdf this should not appear.
Can you provide the file here for checking?

Hi,

Here is the exported pdf, you can still see the jaggedness in the pdf:
small_part.pdf

I decided to print it off anyway and you were right, the jaggedness did not show up on my paper.

Thanks.

The pdf still is slightly jagged indeed. Might be a weekness of the pdf exporter. The result might be different with an external pdf printing tool, like pdf creator. Or with CUPS in Linux.
Do you really need the part printed out so small? How does it look when scaled up?

With "file" I meant the dxf file, to experiment with.
