LibreCAD on Windows for ARM

kn0xit
Hello LibreCAD Team,

given the Microsoft Surface Pro X release which runs on the SQ1 ARM based chip, is there an option to run librecad on native arm64 on Windows?

If such a release is not being planned, how could I go about recompiling it myself from source?

Thanks!

Welcome kn0xit!

We don't have a deployment for ARM based systems.

Building from source depends on the availability of a tool chain.
See https://librecad.readthedocs.io/en/latest/appx/build.html for instructions.
Our deployment for Windows is done with MinGW.
But I think there were successful builds recently with free Visual Studio 201? tools.

Feel free to report about your experience if you give it a try.

Good luck!
