Linux Snaps

I notice running windows you can place many snaps on at the same time
Running Linux only one at a time can be used and it fouls up the works frankly .
Is there a way to have many snaps on at the same time in Linux?

it sounds like very old version on the Linux side.

What's the version as reported in main menu: Help -> About ?
