Multiple parallel lines

When drawing a parallel line, after specifying the distance, when the pointer is over a drawing entity, it suggests 4 parallel lines instead of just one, that I want. Is there a multiplying factor that has to be adjusted?

I can see a "Number 4" next to "Distance 15"
