NEw user

Hello,
I mostly used CAD to convert/georeference data for importing into GIS, but occasionally torment myself with drawing stuff, or trying to.  15 years of more ago, the CAD guy at work showed me nits of AutoCAD, so I have the vaguest of ideas, but not much.
Hope to learn a lot here.

It might be worthwhile for you to look at gdal.
