New 'Gap' tool like in QCAD please

Hi

Is there any chance of having a gap tool like in QCAD.

Basically the tool is selected, you set the size of gap and click on a line/entity where you want to create the gap.

Although most developers 'see' requests on the forum, it's hard to actually track and remember them in the forum and they get easely forgotten here.
