New to CAD programs

Hello all,
I am new to CAD programs in general. My job requires that I be able to draw architectural drawings and some engineering drawings. I like free, so I am trying hard to learn LibreCAD. There seems to be a steep learning curve! I have watched several YouTube videos and read some of the tutorials here. But I'm having to make notes on things that aren't in the tutorials, like making dimensions where I can read them on the finished diagram. Hopefully I can learn and be helpful to some newcomers down the road.
