Hi folks,
Mike Johnson here.
I'm a musician and brass musical instrument builder.
I want to get my ideas into practice and need to have a way of creating drawings that I can use to plan the making of tools.
I need to be able, initially, to draw a curved line with a fixed point at each end. and a curved line between them.
E.g.
Point A and B on a y axis A is nominally 30mm higher than B. They are 400mm apart on the X axis. The line connecting A and B is a concave curve towards the X axis. The radius of the curve is 3700mm (quite a shallow arc)
I need then to be able to plot any point on the line and measure it's distance from the X axis and it's length along the x axis.
I hope this makes sense?
I'm a musician and a budding engineer.....
If I had a draughting compas that could draw up to a 6 metre radius it would be easy.....
Mike
