New user from the Pacific North"WET" corner of Canada

BCRider
Hi all.  I only learned about LibreCAD today and wanted to try it out.

For the past 20 something years I've used TurboCAD for my 2D drawings.  And loved it for the most part.  But as a purely no profit hobbyist that just bought the 2D Designer version only to find out that they've cut the ability to let me load it on both my desktop and laptop I'm a bit miffed.

First thoughts on LibreCAD is that it's a lot like the TC that I'm so used to using.  So I feel like the transition will be fairly easy.  The downside is that I need to convert all my TC drawings to DWG.  And that is likely to result in some problems.  But that's life I guess.

Got a few questions already but I'll post them in the proper sub forum.  For now let's say that I'm pretty happy to try this out.

Just one thing, our DWG support is mediocre, as we don't have a file format expert working on it.

I do expect some improvement in the near future, but that's not a promise.
