I've had some experience with drafting on a computer - 15 1/2 years doing everything for a precast concrete manufacturer and 3 years working for an architectural metals fabricator. All my previous experience was on 'the expensive spread' (no names, I wouldn't want them to think I was being disrespectful). Just found LibreCad, and I'm impressed. it may not have all the bells and whistles that I'm used to, but it's fairly intuitive, and appears able to hold scale (long story. I tried out a professional program for one place, and it couldn't hold scale even to itself between one time opening the drawing and the next).
