Printing out drawing

I have made a relatively simple drawing with an outer circle of 7.50". Have set paper to letter, landscape. When I go to print drawing it comes out extremely small on the paper. In print preview I see a very small picture of my drawing and separately a small which rectangle (i assume the paper). Scale is 1:1. General scale = 1

I get this message in the command line

Any yet when I go into the current drawing preferences Letter size is selected 11X8.5

I can't find what I'm doing wrong?

Please make some suggestions to correct this situation.

How does it look if in print preview you select 'center to page' ?

When I open the drawing on the surface it looks fine. When I click print preview it goes very small in upper left portion of paper (scales has changed to 1:20.981), when i click center to page it stays in the same place (very small).
When I click change the scale back to 1:1 the paper becomes very small and lower on the screen. Drawing stays small, separate and above the paper.

I don't know if any of this makes sense

I had scale fixed at 1:1 when I closed
When I opened everything looked ok but when I went to print preview the scale had changed to 1:20.981 and was still fixed. When I clicked center to page nothing much happened.

When I unclicked fixed and changed the scale to 1:1 the drawing separated from the white background. Drawing info up and white paper? much smaller and lower.

Looks as if there is something small or invisible  off the circle, maybe remains of unsuccessful drawing attempts. Search by zooming out, try getting it visible with 'select all'. If you don't find anything you still can print it right if in print preview you set scale to 1:1 ( it's a bug it doesn't keep the fixed value) and then shift the drawing sheet beneath the drawing manually. You can zoom in for better view.

I didn't find anything but I think this is the cause. When I drew the 3"+ circles they were very small and I had to blow them up to work on them. Now when you print them they return to there original small size!

I think the initial scale of the drawing was too large. How do you set this?

I want the drawing to be on a letter size A 8.5x11 Then my drawing should be visible without excessive zooming in.

How does zooming in effect the printing size?

your problem is probably coming from a huge ghost entity ;
see the currently active 'autozoom troubles' in the troubleshooting' section.

Even after removing it, "Fit to page" was not working fine.

I saved file, closed file and reopened, it fitted page well. Why? I have not idea ;-)

Zooming in doesn't effect printout.
You could have found the culprit circle easily by just using autozoom, very handy by doubleclick on middle mousebutton or scrollwheel.
It is advisable to move the drawing closer to the origin.  
'center to page' still not working properly after removal of the culprit circle is because autozoom (which probably somehow is used by 'center to page') includes the origin (0,0). This has been eliminated in 2.1 beta so if you save the drawing in a recent LC the issue might be gone.

To make things easier, you can use a template. I have made one for inches, letter landscape, scale 1:1. As I am a metrical I don't know much about imperials and you might have to adjust some settings.

You can copy your existing drawing's content by opening both in parallel, select objects in source, press ctrl-c, define reference point, change to target drawing (template), press ctrl-v, define insertion point.
