Problem opening files

I created a drawing and saved as .dxf.
When I start LibreCAd and click "open" I can select the file, the name is shown in the tab - but the page is empty.
The same happens when I doubleclick the file - LibreCAD starts, shows the file name, but again the page is empty.
Only when I right-click the file and select "Open with" LibreCAD I can see and work with the file.
What am I doing wrong?

Thank you very much, the link did help. I can now open the file through the "open" dialog box.
Double-clicking a file, however, still does not work.
