Select multiple layers in the "Layer List" (principally for deletion)

Hi,

I've seen an entry on Github dating back to June 2019 that this feature request was pending/imminent.

It's not something that I can find any evidence of as a feature and I can't find anything more recent. Is it any closer?

I'm having to work on some dxf exports and they will routinely open with ~100 layers, only one of which contains any entities. Save times are very long and can cause system crashes. I'm hoping that deleting the blank layers will improve things.
