Trouble dimensining items

Whenever I use either vertical dimension or horizontal dimension. I get solid lines but no dimensions.. Can someone please give me fix for that?

The dimension text and arrows probably are there, but very small. If you zoom in very close you will see them. That's a matter of the settings in Options - Current Drawing Preferences - Dimensions, together with units, intended scale and extent of the drawing. Not a short answer solution. You may provide a sample file here, so I can edit the settings for you to study, or dig into the manual to find out by your own.
