Using this software for commercial work

gillgsc
My company frequently comes into situations that require us to draw some fairly basic floor plans that need to be to scale. These drawn floor plans then are included in documentations and calculations that ultimately make my company money for the work done/supplied.

So my question is, being open source and what nots... Am I able to use this software for these purposes?

Hi gillgsc,

this is not a question of open source, the license matters here. And with LibreCAD, licensed under GPLv2, you're save to use the software, even for commercial purposes.
But if you going to modify the code and provide binaries from that code, you have to take care, that the modified source code is available with the binaries.
