beginner, how do i snap to grid

As a beginner I cannot find a snap to grid option. Have set the size of grid in mm and precision to 0.0  Looked in options- application preferences where the only reference to snap are crosshairs, Also cannot find anything in currant drawing preferences. I am running 2.2 version in windows 10.
