cropping drawing in parts

Alex
Firstly, thanks for the software developement so far.

Once understood, the tools allow good drawing.
I have seen some messages in this forum where users request features already existing, just by lack of experimenting, I guess.
Which proves the software is richer than it looks at first glance.

Anyway, I didn't  find a way to  crop a drawing in parts.

For example, suppose
- you draw front, top and side view of an object on the same set of layers,
and then want to print them separately.

or
-you want to print the whole and some particuliars of the same drawing.

The only workaround I found is to save copies of the dxf and erase in each what should not be printed, but that's a pain...

Or is there a better way available?

The easiest way to me would be by layers.

Another way would be making each view as a block. you toggle visibility of each block, and you can move the whole block, but a drawback is that you have to edit each block individually.
