drawings for cnc manufacture

ross bailey
Hi
I have a problem with transferring my drawing to a laser cutting machine with DXF.
Although I cannot see any breaks at the endpoints  of lines in the drawing,  the machine does and causes problems.
The operator says the nodes are not connected.

Try using polylines. There is a "create polyline from existing segments" tool.

Hi Ravas
Many thanks for reply.
I struggle with poylines—the choice of drawing tools seem to be very limiting—fillets etc.
Am I missing something ?

Draw -> polyline -> create polyline from existing segments

it seems that nothing happens but select the entity to see if it worked

Hi and thanks for information
I cannot do this.
Draw-polyline-create polyline from existing segments.
Command line asks for an entity and I do not know how to put this info in
Thanks
Ross

Re: drawings for cnc manufacture

It will also convert fillets.
Select everything and then activate the convert tool, and then click on one line segment.
There isn't any real feedback that the conversion has happened.

Note there are 4 modes for the regular polyline tool that can be selected from the options toolbar.
If anyone wants to contribute, it would be useful to describe the modes here: http://wiki.librecad.org/index.php/Polyline
