install / build information and readme.md

ravas
There is nothing inherently wrong with redundant information;
however, we currently have install / build information in three places:
the website, readme.md and on the wiki... and all of them are different.
We obviously don't have the man power to update all three of these.
What do you think about concentrating our effort for the install / build information on the wiki
and have readme.md become a well maintained list of links and screenshots.
That would reduce commits that have nothing to do with how the program looks/operates.

Also, what about adding a short note about the code license to readme.md?

Yes, I think it's a good idea, as many projects are doing this.
